The Fringe Story

Hi! I’m Kara, owner of Fringe Modern & Vintage.

The journey began humbly — selling secondhand clothes out of a 1987 Ford Econoline Ambulance in downtown Jersey City, New Jersey. From flea markets to concerts, the truck found thousands of happy customers and new homes for countless pieces of clothing.

From there, I took the next step and opened Fringe Modern & Vintage, a thrift shop in my hometown of Clinton. I've now been here for six years serving the town I grew up in!

Bring your clothes

Bring in your clean clothes anytime we're open. No appointment needed. Up to 30 items. Can bring accessories as well. Must be clean.

Trade Program

We love what you wear, and we love what you have to give. Bring in your gently used items in exchange for store credit.

Exchange

Have your clothes/accessories assessed by Fringe and we'll write up a receipt showing what we'd like to take, what we'd sell it for and you'll receive 30% of that in store credit.

Shop

You can use your store credit anytime. It can be used that day or a year from now! It never expires. Happy shopping!
